Helen Omaboe: Top NPP woman reveals in video how politics crushed her marriage
- A woman known as Helen Tawiah Godschild has opened up about how her love for politics cost her her marriage
- According to her she left the United States of America (USA) to Ghana to campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP)
- Her husband initiated divorce proceedings and at the moment she is serving on the board of a state institution

YEN.com.gh has learned that a staunch supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Helen Tawiah Godschild, lost her marriage to politics.
According to her, she was compelled to severe ties with her husband in order to help the party campaign for power during the 2016 electoral campaign.
Godschild, also known as Helen Omaboe, noted that she flew from USA to Ghana three days after her marriage to support the campaign.

Per a report by adomonline, she added that “because of the love I had for our President Akufo-Addo and the NPP as a whole, I was in USA in 2016 and this time around I felt it in my bones that he was going to win.”
She added that she made sure that her husband did not touch her before the marriage and as such he was therefore pained that she left for Ghana soon after their wedding.
Omaboe admitted that she is the one who messed up the marriage and takes full responsibility for that.
She went on to say that she was fortunate to have someone assist her with a good lawyer.
At present, Omabie is a member of the board of the Bureau of Ghana Languages.
In other news, Ghanaian musician, Becca, has taken social media by storm as celebs have fallen in love with her ‘golden’ outfit.
The musician looked lovely in a shimmering outfit as she posed in what appears to be the hallway showing a series of entrances to rooms.
It remains unclear what the occasion was but that did little to influence the endorsement she received from celebrities for the stunning photo.
