Akufo-Addo reassigns two key ministers in his government

- Nana Akufo-Addo has reshuffled some of his ministers

- Bryan Acheampong has been reassigned to the Interior Ministry

President Nana Akufo-Addo has reassigned two of his ministers.

Mr Bryan Acheampong, who was the Minister of State at the Ministry of National Security, is now the Minister of State at the Ministry of the Interior.

Also, Mr Henry Quartey, who was a Deputy Minister for the Interior, is now a Deputy Minister at the Ministry of National Security.

The reassignment was contained in a statement signed by Mr Eugene Arhin, Director of Communication at the Presidency.

Meanwhile, Akufo-Addo has also assured the public that the 2020 December polls be peaceful under his watch as president.

According to the president he will fulfill his mandate of protecting the peace and sanctity of Ghana. He says the December polls will be free, fair and credible.

Ghana is today a beacon of democracy on the African Continent and this year I am determined to do whatever I can to consolidate that reputation as a country of peace and stability where elections are held in good atmosphere and results are easily acceptable by all and sundry, winners and losers alike,” he made the pledge at the Jubilee House in Accra.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 held a press conference to address issues on Ghana’s energy sector and also respond to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s results fair lecture.
