Sarkodie & Stonebwoy to share stage with Lil Wayne, other acts at 2020 Beale Street Music Fest
- Sarkodie will in May 2020 perform on an international stage with the likes of Lil Wayne, Nelly, and several others at the 2020 Beale Street Music festival
-Sarkodie will be joined by Stonebwoy who is also billed to perform at the event
- This year's Beale Street Music Festival will take place between May 1 to May 3 at Memphis in the United States

Award-winning rapper Sarkodie is billed to perform alongside American rapper Lil Wayne and other international acts at this year's edition of the 'Beale Street Music Festival'.
Sarkodie will also team up with Stonebwoy as the two represent Ghana on the international front to lift the country's flag high.
In a posted sighted by YEN.com.gh, Sarkodie posted the artistes who are lined up to perform at the event which will take place between May 1 to May 3 at Memphis in the United States.

Also performing at the event are multi-awarding winning musicians Nelly, Dababy, Weezers and 311 among others.
However in a statement to confirm Sarkodie's performance, organizers of the 2020 Beale Street Music Festival said the event is proud to feature two award-winning artists from the Republic of Ghana.

"Ghanaian rapper and songwriter Sarkodie is not only one of Ghana’s most famous musicians, but also recognized as one of the most influential musicians on the African continent with the awards to back it up."

Aside from his MTV Africa Music Award for Best Hip Hop and his two BET awards for Best International Act and Best International Flow, Sarkodie also boasts of an astonishing twenty-two Ghana Music Awards including Artist of the Year and Best Male Artist, along with being named Artist of the Decade in 2019.

"With eighty-seven national and international music awards, the Beale Street Music Festival is excited to introduce an artist of his stature to new audiences," said James L. Holt, President and CEO of Memphis in May.

"The second highly acclaimed Ghanaian artist to make his debut at the Beale Street Music Festival is Stonebwoy, coming off his recent wins in 2019 for Best Male Artist from the African Entertainment Awards and AFRIMA’s Best Reggae Dancehall Artist."

These follow wins for everything from BET’s Best International Act, multiple wins from Vodafone’s Ghana Music Awards for Reggae Artist of the Year and Reggae Song of the Year, the All Africa Music Awards for Best Reggae Artist, and even the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for Favorite African Star!

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Stonebwoy has expressed disappointment in Charterhouse CEO Theresa Ayoade.
He says Charterhouse does not have the interest of Ghanaian Musicians and Ghana Music at heart.

Stonebwoy also stated that some comments made by the CEO of Charterhouse were not in good taste.
