The one-week observation of the late highlife musician, Kofi Boakye, known in showbiz as Kofi B is currently ongoing at the Achimota De Temple Social Centre in Accra.

Kofi B reportedly died on Saturday, February 1, 2020, after battling illness over a year.
According to his colleagues, the ‘Mmobrowa’ singer started complaining of chest pains and unusual heartbeat right after performing at an event.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that a doctor at the hospital said he was sweating and vomiting when he was rushed to the hospital. Kofi B was later pronounced dead.
The ongoing one-week observation is expected to announce the date for the final funeral rites for the celebrated Ghanaian highlife musician.
Images obtained show an outpouring of emotions at the one-week celebration which has attracted a lot of people including high-profile personalities.
Kofi B who has won many awards is known for hit songs such as "Mmbrowa", "Bantama Akwasi Boakye", "Koforidua Flowers", among others.
