Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has called out men who shirk their responsibilities to desist from doing that.
He said since they are lead by their libodos to produce more children, they should take responsibility for their children and not expect Members of Parliament (MPs) to do so.
According to him, MPs and politicians in general, are not under any obligation to take care of irresponsible and ignorant families.
He made this known when he was interviewed by NET2 TV and monitored by MyNewsGh.com
“We are not, no MP is obliged to take over your parent’s irresponsibility, no way. We only do favors, we are not obliged to pay anybody’s school fees,” he said.
He reminisced how he was taking care of the personal needs of constituents, to the extent of supporting someone with GHc 1000 but the person later came back to tell him his support was nothing.
He, however, called on parents to be responsible in their dealings in order to take very good care of their wards and not expect politicians to do that for them.
According to the lawmaker, a company for the son of the minister, Jojo Frimpong Boateng is believed to be a part of illegal mining during the time his father was supposedly fighting the canker.
Speaking on a show on Net 2 Television, Kennedy Agyapong said it was not only the embattled Ekow Ewusi who is involved in the galamsey business; immediately stating that big NPP men were directly involved in the illegal mining business.
