Zinedine Zidane gets kicked in the mouth by Black Stars defender Joseph Aidoo

- Zinedine Zidane and Joseph Aidoo crashed into each other during Real Madrid's game against Celta Vigo

- The French manager was accidentally kicked in the mouth but admitted to reporters he was fine

- Real Madrid have lost firm grip on top of La Liga table following the draw as Barcelona closed the gap to just one point

Zinedine Zidane was involved in a collision with Celta Vigo star Joseph Aidoo during their 2-2- draw at the Bernabeu.

The Ghanaian defender was trying to keep the ball from going out of play as he lost his balance before crashing into the French boss.

Zidane was caught in the mouth with Aidoo's left boot in the 61st minute incident before Toni Kroos proceeded with a throw.

After the final whistle Zidane was asked if he was alright after the incident with the Sky Blue defender he was quick to admit he was fine: "Yes, he hit me but anyway, I have to be there [on the touchline," he told reporters.

Real Madrid were trailing from Fyodor Smolov's first half strike before Kroos brought them back on level terms in the 51st minute.

Los Blancos went to sleep again as two substitutes combined to produce the late equalizer. A brilliant through ball from Denis Suarez gave Santi Mina the opening to score with four minutes left to play.

Zidane's side failed to maintain the three-point gap on Barcelona as their rivals defeated Getafe at the Camp Nou to cut their lead to just a point.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that Real Madrid vs Celta Vigo saw the league leaders drop points against the visiting side after being held to a 2-2 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Fedor Smolov got Celta in front early on before Toni Kroos leveled matters in the second half as Sergio Ramos put his side in the lead from a spot-kick.

But substitute Santi Mina drew his side level to salvage a point to the delight of the traveling fans.

YEN.com.gh also reported that Victor Osimhen has continued to make the headlines in the French Ligue 1 as Lille fell 2-1 to Marseille in a league match.

The Nigerian international drew a fine save from Steve Mandanda in goal with a brilliant curling effort from outside of the 18-yard area.
