Coronavirus: It is impossible to evacuate Ghanaian students in China - Foreign Minister

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey has stated that it would be impossible to evacuate Ghanaians students from coronavirus-stricken Wuhan in the Hubei Province in China.

According to her, although government understands the situation of the students, the evacuation they so much desire will not be possible at this point.

As reported by GraphicOnline, the foreign minister made this known while speaking on an interview monitored on Joy FM.

"The students, I totally, we totally, government totally, Mr President (Akufo-Addo) totally understands the situation in which they are but as at last week Wednesday, we felt we should let them know that evacuation is not possible at this point," she said.

Meanwhile, Nomura Holdings Inc. has predicted that China may have more trouble dealing with the coronavirus compared with how it dealt with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in 2003.

SARS was a virus that appeared in China in 2003 and spread all over the world in a few months but was quickly contained.

It was transmitted through droplets that spread through the air whenever a victim coughs, sneezes or talks.

For a man who believes in God and his miracles, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams is of the conviction that with fervent prayer and supplication, the spirit behind the deadly virus can be destroyed.

In a prayer post by the Archbishop sighted by YEN.com.gh on his Facebook page, he commanded the virus which he believed to be demonic and meant to cripple nations to wither and die.

He cast out the ‘spirit’ behind the virus, whiles attacking its roots.
