Isaac Opeele Boateng, a former Kotoko coach has alleged that Edward Odoom, the interim Hearts of Oak coach is without an open office and spends his time after training under trees.
Odoom was elevated to the head coach position after Kim Grant was sacked after an abysmal start to the season.
Following the replacement of the former coach of Hearts of Oak, the team have experience an upgrade from the bottom half of the table to the seventh position.
Opeele was speaking on Asempa’s sports morning show when he alleged that the management of Hearts of Oak are not serving their coach with the best treatment.
The outspoken technician said that more than two months of giving Odoom the job, Hearts are yet to find him an office in their secretariat for the former Tema Youth gaffer.
Opeele also claimed that Odoom is on a GHC5,000 salary which is 10% of what his predecessor was earning.
He bemoaned the abysmal treatment of the coach and wondered whether Hearts would have given the same treatment to a foreign coach.
Opeele said that Odoom’s situation saddens him and Odoom would have performed better in the league if Hearts supported him better.
''If Hearts supported him, he would have scored every team in the league. Give him an assistant and he will deliver.''
''After training, he goes for rest under a tree. Is he Jonah to sit under a tree? I heard he takes 50million (old currency). That means the difference between his salary and Kim Grant is 500million,''Opeele added.
Opeele’s comments follows criticism levelled against the coach by some Hearts fans following the team’s 3-2 victory over Bechem United.
Despite the win, some fans are unhappy with Odoom’s tactics and want him out.
Opeele told the fans to direct their anger at the management who he thinks have starved the club of investment.
