Norwegian wonder-kid, Erling Haaland, has disclosed that he would always have Cristiano Ronaldo to thank for his incredible goal-scoring run, saying the Portuguese super footie is " a model for me.''

Haaland singlehandedly put French champions PSG on the dagger with two wonderful goals that eased the Germans past their visitors on Tuesday, February 18, at Signal Iduna Park.

The Norweigian was unstoppable with his two-goal obligation in the second half, striking in the 67th and 79th minute to leave PSG on the brink of Champions League exit.

The sensational forward has now carved himself an idol in 'king of Champions League' himself Ronaldo, saying the Portuguese star deserves the glory for his killer instinct.

"I would like to meet Cristiano Ronaldo one day," the 19-year-old said in a post-game interview.

"I would like to talk to him and tell him that I am a footballer thanks to him. That he has always been a model for me."

Haaland has scored 39 goals in 29 matches between Salzburg and Dortmund which he joined during the January transfer window.

And with 10 UCL goals in 7 games in his debut season, the young football genius is creating his own legacy thanks to the Juventus star who he shared so much with in terms of physical qualities, speed and goal-scoring.

Haaland is 194 cm tall and is physically structured just like the image of Ronaldo, making it possible for the former Red Bull forward to create his own Ronaldo fantasy.

The young prodigy took a new leap on his football career by breaking bonds with Red Bull after scoring 16 goals in 14 games fo the Austrian giants.

Haaland moved to Germany for just €20 million despite interest from European powerhouses including Premier League outfits Man United.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh had reported that Manchester United could have lost a prolific striker in Erling Haaland after the young forward increased his Bundesliga tally to seven in just three games for the German giants.

Haaland sealed a move to Borussia Dortmund in January transfer market, ending growing speculations earlier linking him with a move to Premier League.

The 19-year-old former Salsburg striker hit the ground running on his debut game against Ausburg with a beautiful hat-trick in 23 minutes after coming in as a second-half substitute.
