Ahead of the SONA 2020, the president has come under a barrage of criticisms from a section of Ghanaians on social media.
This follows comments he made at Buem during his recent three-day tour of the Oti Region.
President Akufo-Addo while addressing the chiefs and people of Buem on Monday, February 17, 2020, had stated that the governing NPP does not fritter the country’s resources on guinea fowls (akonfem) like the NDC.
According to him, the NPP is a party that keeps its promises, unlike the NDC.
“We are not like those who used the country’s resources to buy akonfem; those who believe that we will not be able to fulfil our promises,” Akufo-Addo shaded the NDC.
But in a number of social media comments, some Ghanaians have blasted President Akufo-Addo for passing such remarks.
