A Ghanaian widow by name Obaa Yaa who was in great difficulty as a coconut hawker after the passing of her husband has had her life turned around with a 2-bedroom house and a fresh business.
Crime Check Foundation reports on their official Facebook handle that their officers came across Obaa Yaa on the streets of Accra with so much sorrow on her face.
It is reported that she was interrogated and it was discovered that she was in great sorrow due to the passing of her husband and the harsh realities it brought to her.
See post below:
The story of her predicament was shared on social media and a number of donors whose names have not been disclosed came to her aid.
Pooling their resources together, the donors decided to surprise the poor widow with a two-bedroom house, a container and enough money to stock it with fresh products.
"When we spoke to her, we realized she was living with so much pain after the death of her husband. After sharing her story, our donors came to her aid through us. We built her a two-bedroom house, bought her a container and gave her trading capital," the report indicates.
Before-and-after pictures of the lady's past and present circumstances show that the gesture has truly made a deep impact on her life.
Crime Check Foundation's report concluded: That's what God requires of us all. Many thanks to every single soul who responded to our call to change the life of Obaa Yaa for the better.
In other sad but interesting news, a large group of Ghanaians has been captured in a video on a loud and noisy funeral procession with drumming and dancing at an unidentified location abroad.
YEN.com.gh sighted the video on Ghanacelebrities.com in which the entire street was covered by the crowd of Ghanaians on the procession.
Though not explicitly stated, the deceased must have been a very popular individual in a Ghanaian community abroad, judging by the massive extent of the funeral celebration.
