The minister for communication, Ursula Owusu Ekurful, has made certain comments that members of the opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC), would not be so happy with.
According to her, there was no way the sitting government, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), would allow the NDC to come to power. She added that it would be over their dead bodies for the NDC to come to power.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM, she added that the real owners of Ghana are in charge now, since the good people of Ghana only deserve quality leadership.
"We aren't going to allow the NDC to ever come to power. Over our dead body. The real owners of Ghana are now in charge. Whatever the NDC has chopped in the past they should keep it but we are sounding a note of warning to them that they will never see power again. Ghana deserves quality leadership and not this bunch of incompetent people," she said.
Ghanaians have however shared their thoughts and ideas on the comments made by the minister in a native post by YEN.com.gh
Emmanuel gave her a gentle reminder of what awaits them in December 2020.
Robert said NPP is no different from NDC.
Antoine said since the power is in the hands of the NPP.
Abubakar said this goes to confirm what he has been trumpeting for quite a long time. The Ashantis and NPP thinking the country is theirs.
Jacob said the fact that NPP belongs to Dambo Busia family and the Akans doesn't make it a bona fide owner of Ghana.
Meanwhile, a performance audit report from the Auditor-General on the activities of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) from 2012 to 2018 has revealed serious breaches and infractions.
According to the report sighted by YEN.com.gh, GETFund instead of funding eduction of brilliant and needy students, paid huge sums of monies as scholarships for politicians and rich people.
The Auditor-General’s report noted that the administrators of GETFund deprived the needy students and rather favored the politician and well-to-do.
