You can’t keep insulting us - NPP executives threaten to vote Ken Agyapong out

Some irate New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives and supporters in the Assin Central Constituency are threatening to vote out their Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong if he doesn’t stop insulting them.

According to the Central Regional NPP party people, the incumbent MP is fond of abusing them verbally.

He said Kennedy Agyapong is fond of insulting them at will, without any provocation because he is rich and untouchable.

The NPP polling station executives in the Central Region say they are going to confront the maverick politician over his bad attitude.

Ken Agyapong always sits on both social media and traditional media and insults the people of Assin Central calling us lazy people yet he needs our votes and we are going to show him during the upcoming 2020 elections that he cannot continue to disparage us.”

“He doesn’t respect us because he finances the party and he is backed by the Central Regional Chairman of the party Mr. Robert Kutin Junior. So we are warning him to stop being arrogant towards us for we have already decided to vote massively against him in the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries,” Isaac Armah said after a demonstration on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.

Meanwhile, the NPP polling station executives also alleged that the Central Regional executives are forcing aspirants who want to contest the MP to step down to allow the Assin Central MP go unopposed.

One of the parliamentary aspirants, Eric Baidoo in an interview with Kasapa FM warned the party executives to throw away any intention of disqualifying him, adding that such a move will hugely affect the party’s chances in the 2020 elections.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi) has opined that the NDC and their flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama will be ‘beaten’ by President Akufo-Addo like Tyson Fury did against Deontay Wilder.

The vociferous party chairman noted that the NPP, will emerge victors in the upcoming December 2020 polls.

According to Chairman Wontumi, the success of President Akufo-Addo in managing Ghana’s economy makes him battle-ready against the former President Mahama who is only remembered by electorates as someone who flourished acts of corruption under his tenure.
