The National Democratic Congress( NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuguon, John Dumelo, has paid the school fees of 50 brilliant but needy students.
The 50 students are all from the University of Ghana in his constituency.
Dumelo’s Foundation settled the school fees of these students in full on Thursday, February 27, 2020.
He made the kind gesture public on his social media handles.
According to the MP aspirant, his foundation which started in 2012 is there to support such cases to provide hope and support for everyone in the society.
Dumelo opined that the 50 students wouldn’t be the only beneficiaries of the Foundation.
He has been touching the lives of many people, especially the youth and aged women in his constituency.
He has on some occasions visited students of the premier university, which falls within the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency with food, organised parties, joined cleanup exercises and played cards with some people in the constituency.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has declined a debate request by NDC MP for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo.
The governing NPP has declined the debate challenge between Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NDC MP, saying the legislator is unfit to engage the Veep in a debate on economics.
According to NPP Communicator, Maame Yaa Aboagye, Dr. Bawumia is busy fixing the chaos and mess created by the Mahama-led administration.
