Charterhouse, the organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), has released the nominees beneath their Reggae/Dancehall Artist Of The Year category.
Just today, the maiden VGMA21 made their nominees public for all to have their stand and also vote for their favourite artists.
For the Reggae and Dancehall category, Samini, and other ‘young’ musicians had nominations.
These include J.Derobie, AK Songstress, Ras Kuuku, Epixode, and Jupiter.
It is good to note that this happens to be the first nomination for some of them.
The two iconic musicians for this very category, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were banned from partaking in the award scheme until further notice.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been banned following their fight at the 2019 VGMA.
The case is still in court, leading Charterhouse to ban them from further participating in the award scheme.
Shatta Wale has responded to the ban with a diss song to attack Charterhouse, warning them never to mention their name anywhere for anything.
Stonebwoy also commented on the ban telling Charterhouse his mind.
