- The Englishman was banned by FA for breaking the betting rules

- Sturridge also terminated his three years contract at Trabzonspor

Former Liverpool and Chelsea winger Daniel Sturridge has been banned from playing football for the next four months after been found guilty of breaking the betting rules.

The problem actually started for the Englishman in July 2018 according to the report on Sky Sport when he told one of his brothers to bet on his possible move to Spanish side Sevilla.

But the English FA made some investigation and came out with a judgement of banning the player for two weeks in June 2019 with a fine of 75,000 pounds.

And eight months after Sturridge was handed a two weeks ban from football, the FA came together again to review the punishment and discovered that it was too lenient.

According to the report which was also cited on UK Sun, another two offenses were found against Daniel Sturridge which is against the football rules and regulations.

This however prompted the English FA to ban Daniel Sturridge for four months which means he will not be able to play for any other club this season.

On Monday, Daniel Sturridge terminated his contract at Turkish club Trabzonspor despite signing three-year contract with the side.

So far this season, Daniel Sturridge has played 13 games for Trabzonspor and has scored seven goals before his departure.

The club also took to their official social media account to wish the former Manchester City star the best of luck in future.

Daniel Sturridge actually started his football career at reigning Premier League champions Manchester City in the 2006/07 season before moving to Chelsea after two terms at the Etihad.

He spent two seasons at Chelsea before Daniel was loaned to Bolton due to unimpressive performances that term.

Daniel moved to Liverpool in 2012/13 season where he was until he was released last summer before making a move to Turkey.

Meanwhile, his former side Liverpool are hoping of winning the Premier League title this season considering their position.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported how Manchester United fan Daragh Curley was in joyous momentum when Liverpool suffered their first ever defeat in the Premier League against lowly rated Watford.

The Reds who were hoping and dreaming of finishing the season unbeaten had their invincibility ambition destroyed when they lost 3-0 against Watford.

But before Liverpool were beaten by Watford, a ten year old Manchester United faithful named Daragh Curley had appealed to Jurgen Klopp for him to lose some games.
