A couple from Rio Linda identified as Ivan Peñaloza and his wife Jennifer Rebollar Cortez have welcome a miracle baby by name Camila at the Mercy San Juan Medical Center who was born on February 29, just as her father.

February 29 is a leap day that only comes in every leap year and leap years occur every four years, which made the story very extraordinary for the father and daughter.

13wmaz.com reports that the hospital where the miracle baby was born confirmed the rareness of the occurrence, stating that it's only a 1 in 2.1 million chance.

The father of the miracle child spoke in an interview with excitement, stating how she is an answer to his prayer in the following words:

"I prayed to God for my little baby girl, and, now, we are going to share this amazing bond for the rest of our lives and I am just so happy! I couldn’t have asked for much more than a healthy baby, so this is just a beautiful, unexpected blessing".

Jennifer Rebollar Cortez, the mother, said the hospital gave her new daughter a frog outfit, cake, balloons, and even sang "happy birthday".

“We feel so blessed to have our little Camila here and so incredibly shocked at the coincidence that she now shares her Leap Day birthday with her dad!" said Jennifer Rebollar Cortez adding that "She was actually due March 3, and so we never could have imagined this!"

In other news, two kind teachers from Essaman United Basic School located within the KEEA Municipal Assembly in Central Region reportedly engage in a heartwarming act of trimming hair for students during break-time.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the teachers whose names have not been identified were serious about their usual routine, getting students whose hairs were bushy back into shape. It is usual for teachers to rest after eating during their break time.

Some sit with colleague teachers in their staff common room, chatting and laughing to while away time but that was not the case for the two extraordinary tutors at Essaman.
