The manager of Shatta Wale, Bulldog, has said that Shatta Wale has outgrown VGMA.
He indicated that Shatta Wale’s level has risen to the point that VGMA cannot contain him any longer.
Bulldog added that even after the ban imposed on Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy is lifted by Charterhouse, he would not advise Shatta Wale to rejoin the award scheme.
He was quick to add, however, that if Shatta Wale would have change of heart to join in the future, that would be his personal decision.
“I would not personally advise him to come back to the awards scheme. If he gets a change of heart as we do in the future, that’s his decision,” he added.
This is contained in a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Myjoyonline.com.
The artiste manager also raised concerns over the transparency and credibility of the VGMA saying it is not the best.
“The transparency level is low when it comes to Ghana Music Awards…I’ve worked at Charterhouse and when I was there I had concerns,” Bulldog disclosed.
Bulldog comments come following the debate going on about Shatta Wale and Stonewboy’s exclusion in the VGMA.
Even songs of other musicians on which they were featured have also been disqualified from the scheme.
This comes after the two fought at the 2019 VGMA bringing the show to a sudden close.
Shatta Wale has, following his ban, released a diss song against Charterhouse.
