63rd Independence Day: How Otumfuo 'stormed' event in luxury Rolls Royce

Ghana is 63 years today and a parade is being held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi to commemorate the country's independence from British colonial rule.

Amid cheers, Otumfoo Osei Tutu II, arrived at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the 63rd Independence Day Celebration clad in a regal kente with stunning colours of the Kingdom; green yellow and black.

As the special guest, the Asantehene arrived in his Rolls Royce to the historic event and was spotted with his wife, Julia Osei Tutu and an entourage.

Ghana is marking a momentous event in celebration of 63 years of self-rule as the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to have gained independence from British rule.

The 2020 Independence Day Celebration is being commemorated under theme: ''Consolidating our Gains''.

Former president Kuffour, Dr. Keith Rowley, the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago were among some prominent personalities who graced the event.
