GHOne TV journalist Alice Aryeetey, who is one of the 'daughters (mentees) of Nana Aba Anamoah has tied the knot in a beautiful traditional wedding ceremony.

The marriage ceremony came off on Friday, March 6, 2020, just the same day as Ghana's 63rd Independence Day celebrations.

Very little is known about the husband of the award-winning journalist but YEN.com.gh understands they have been dating for some time now.

First photos from the wedding sighted by YEN.com.gh show Alice and her husband dressed in beautiful kente.

One of the photos had the newlyweds receiving prayers from a 'man of God'.

Another has the broadcast journalist showing her dance skills while smiling at the wedding grounds.

Information gathered by YEN.com.gh indicates that the couple will complete their marriage ceremony with a white wedding on Saturday, March 7, 2020.

Alice Aryeetey is a multiple award-winning journalist. She is the reigning best TV news reporter in Ghana as announced at the 2019 GJA Awards.

In other news, former President John Mahama was absent at the official celebrations of Ghana's 63rd Independence Day

The official celebrations which were held at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, March 6, 2020, had the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Keith Christopher Rowley as the special guest of honour.

Also in attendance were the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, former President John Agyekum Kufuor and many other dignitaries.

But a photo from the durbar shows Mahama's seat was empty.
