Yesterday March 6, 2020, marked Ghana's 63rd Independence Day Celebration and a parade was held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi to commemorate the country's independence from British colonial rule.
Among the dignitaries at the event the King and ruler of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was the special guest at the event.
As usual, Otumfuo graced the ceremony in grand style displaying the rich cultural heritage of the people of the Ashanti Kingdom.
In a photo sighted by YEN.com.gh Otumfuo was seen at the beautiful event with his wife Lady Julia Osei Tutu.
As tradition demands, Otumfuo and wife wore royal Kente which was unique to them alone.

As the special guest, the Asantehene arrived in his Rolls Royce to the historic event and was spotted with his wife, Julia Osei Tutu and an entourage.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is undoubtedly one of the most famous men in Ghana.

His popularity transcends the borders of his Asante Kingdom. While his fame and respect are not in doubt, not much is known about his private life, especially his nuclear family, except for the fact that he is married to Lady Julia.
Well for those who do not know, Otumfuo and Lady Julia have two children, a son and daughter together.

The son, Nana Kwame Kyeretwie, is the older with sister, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem (named after Otumfuo's mother, the late Asantehemaa) following.
Though Nana Kwame and Nana Afia are in their teens, they have lived out of the public eye and are not much known.
But in a rare family moment, the two were spotted with their parents at the celebrations marking Otumfuo's 69th birthday.
