Coronavirus chaos: Video shows women fighting over toilet paper

The Covid-19 virus has the world in a state of panic. With more than 102 000 people infected and the death toll climbing, people around the globe are acting out of fear to protect themselves and their families.

In Australia, citizens are stocking up on supplies just in case the worst happens and it is leading to altercations.

Three women were caught on video physically assaulting each other over a pack of toilet paper. The video has gone viral on social media and it proves how panic-stricken people are about the novel coronavirus.

One of the women had a trolley stacked with packs of toilet paper and the other lady only wanted one pack.

It resulted in an altercation and according to The Guardian, the Australian police have charged the women over the fight.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported Egypt has reported its first death due to the coronavirus on Sunday.

A German tourist had contracted the virus and was receiving treatment in the country. Announcing the first death in Africa amid a global epidemic, the ministry confirmed the incident in a statement:

"The 60-year-old German citizen showed symptoms of a fever (and) checked into Hurghada Hospital on 6 March."
