Former president John Dramani Mahama has promised that the next National Democratic Congress (NDC) will not let down Ghanaians.

The NDC flagbearer made the promise on Monday, March 9, 2020, in Bolgatanga (Upper East Region) while on his Speak Out tour.

According to the former president, his interactions with Ghanaians across the country will guide him on how things are done in his next government.

“It is my personal commitment to everyone here today that the next NDC government will not let you down….

“I promise you, I will also use my many years of experience and learning to work and I will use a renewed determination and sense of purpose to serve all Ghanaians,” Mahama assured.

Mahama says it was urgent for the NDC to return back into power to save Ghanaians and the country from the mismanagement of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

We cannot afford to have a government that continues to ignore the needs of the majority, the power is entirely in your hands and I urge you to think deeply about what you see here today,” the NDC flagbearer noted.

Meanwhile, the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia has jabbed the former president and the NDC as a political party.

Samira Bawumia in an interview on Asempa FM in Accra said the NDC lacks what it takes to governing Ghana to the promised land.

She also opined that the NDC flagbearer is still the same incompetent person Ghanaians know.

The alternative to NPP is empty,” she said.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that an aide to former president John Dramani Mahama has explained why the NDC leader does not attend some state functions.

According to Mr. Stan Dogbe, it is not compulsory for the former president to attend every state function or event he is invited to.

Stan’s comment comes on the back of social media troll at the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) flag bearer for not attending Ghana’s 63rd Independence Day ceremony.
