Reports indicate that the middle-aged woman runs her sales on the working capital of just GHC 200, which is very little given the current economic situation in Ghana.
According to Diana Danso, the little amount she makes from her hawking takes care of her two children together with her herself.
It is not exactly clear whether the middle-aged woman has a husband or what happened to the father of the children but it is obvious from her reported narration that there is no man that provides her with any assistance.
Her shock and tears of joy in the photos after receiving GHC1,000 is clearly understood given the kind of situation she's has been in for several years. A number of women in poverty have been pleasantly surprised in a similar way lately.
Not long ago, YEN.com.gh reported that a 78-year-old woman identified as Mama Rose Adjei who picks water sachets and sells for a living has been pleasantly surprised with GHC 1,000 by Crime Check Foundation's Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng.
The story was shared on the official Facebook page of the Crime Check Foundation where it was revealed that the old woman has no children to take care of her.
It is indicated that the 78-year-old had an only child who would have supported her but the child has not been seen for so many years.
