Ghanaian legendary musician Bessa Simons has stated that Ghanaian musicians will come together to produce a song about the deadly coronavirus.

He said the song will sensitise people around the country about the deadly coronavirus which is currently spreading rapidly in Ghana.

In an interiew on Happy FM and monitored by YEN.com.gh, Bessa Simons said this is a song is a way Ghanaian musicians will contribute in the fight against COVID-19.

"A song to fight Coronavirus is in the pipeline. As musicians, we influence society through music. We have done that in the past and we can speak of events such as peaceful elections, among others. We are preparing and very soon we will contribute,” he said.

He, however, urged musicians to develop themselves by working on how they write their songs and also practice more with their instrumentals in this time as they stay home due to Coronavirus.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Chief Executive of Shatta Movement family, Shatta Wale had held a church service online for his numerous fans around the world in this period of ban on all public gatherings.

Shatta Wale, who has often mentioned that he is a religious and Godfearing person held the service on Twitter to inspire his fans and remind them that God still loves them even in the face of the deadly coronavirus.

In a series of tweets sighted by YEN.com.gh, the 'Melissa' hitmaker said though a lot of his fans are scared about what is going on with the spread of the virus, he wants people to hope that the Lord is always in the miracle business and he never fails.
