COVID-19: Sarkodie pleads with fans to avoid parties & stay at home

Awarding-winning rapper Sarkodie has asked his fans to stay away from parties and other public gatherings in order to save themselves and their families from the deadly coronavirus.

He said the current time we are in does not make it safe for people to continue partying.

In a tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh, the 'You Go Kill Me' hitmaker he has observed people are still gathering groups despite the ban on public gathering.

"I see my people out there still gathering in groups and some actually partying… I’m from Africa and I know how important socializing is to us but guys Pleeeease stay home for sometime to save yourself, your loved ones and others #COVID19," Sarkodie tweeted.
And please note: the numbers out there in the media is for those tested which I believe is way less than the actual number of people with the virus Microbe #CoronavirusPandemic.”

On March 12, 2020, Ghana confirmed two cases of the virus. Currently, confirmed cases are 27 with two deaths recorded.

In reaction to this President Akufo-Addo gave an order when he addressed the nation on Sunday, March 15, 2020, saying that a ban has been placed on all public gatherings.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Award-winning female TV personality Oheneyere Dr. Gifty Anti had been forced into mandatory quarantine after arriving at the Kotoka International Airport from her trip in London.

Reports say Gifty Anti and the rest of the people on board her flight were all screened and take to a hotel.

They will be quarantined for 14days and tested for the deadly coronavirus as directed by the President Akufo-Addo.
