COVID 19: Togbe Afede donates GHC100,000 worth of sanitizers to 2 hospitals

- The Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, Togbe Afede, has donated hand sanitizers worth GHC100,000 to 2 hospitals

Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, has donated sanitizers worth GHC100,000.00 to two hospitals in Ho to support the fight against COVID-19 or coronavirus.

Peacefmonline.com has confirmed in a report sighted by YEN.com.gh that the hospitals to which the donations were made were the Ho Teaching Hospital which received GHC60,000.00 and Ho Municipal Hospital which got GHC40,000 worth of the hand sanitizers.

Hospitals particularly need to use hand sanitizers excessively as the medical officers come into contact with patients on a regular basis and get exposed to a high risk of contracting COVID-19

It is reported that the Agbogbomedia who doubles as the President of the National House of Chiefs also gave over 2,200 hand sanitizers to the Hospitals and communities in the Asogli State.

After the donation, the traditional ruler mentioned categorically that the gesture was to support the facilities and communities to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

Dr John Tampouri, Chief Executive of the Ho Teaching Hospital, said the Volta Region was lucky not to have recorded any case yet and described the gesture as timely, saying the Hospital could not sustain the expenditure of GHC240.00 daily on tissue paper for hand washing at the facility and called for more support.

Dr Lawrence Kumi, the Medical Superintendent for Ho Municipal Hospital also expressed gratitude to Togbe Afede and assured that the support would be put to good use.

In other news, a gentleman from Nigeria who appears to be in his late twenties or early thirties has released a hot video firing Ghanaians for not appreciating the efforts of their president, asking for Akufo-Addo to come and rule Nigeria.

In the video sighted by the passionate Nigerian mentions that Ghana's president is taking highly drastic measures to combat COVID-19 and keeps Ghanaians updated with what's going on in the country.

He strongly goes ahead to assert that Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian president, does not even have adequate knowledge of what's going on regarding COVID-19 spreading around the world.
