Our Manifesto: This is what YEN.com.gh believes in
Only one thing beats the goodness of some sweet peaceful sleep after a hard day - the sound of a choir made up of 30 talented individuals.
As people emphasise on the need for social distancing, a group of skilled singers known as Ten Two Six music group decided to beat the system and deliver a performance that sounded like a host of angels.
When boredom kicked in, 30 people in the US had a brilliant idea on how they could pass time and create something beautiful in the process.
So, they all recorded themselves singing It Is Well With My Soul and each sent the end products to a producer via email.
The creative music guru merged their voices and turned the individual performances into a choir melody.
The result sounded like birds chirping and angels singing as it was the embodiment of exquisite content.
Everything about it urges any listener to play back the song over and over again.
The intonations were on point and the music was tuneful from beginning to end.
If a baby was crying, they would immediately get silent and fall asleep because the song could put any worried heart to rest.
Honestly, that was the kind of content the world needed during this dark time.
The song felt brand new, like it had never been sung before and no one could even tell it was a product of 30 voices recorded on phone.
The lyrics were lifting and one listen could drive the strongest person to tears.
It described what many people feel at the moment and the peace it gave was beyond description.
The video consisted of both men and women from varied age groups.
Everyone had their designated verse and at times they would all sing the chorus harmoniously.
Just one listen and anyone will go through the day humming "it is well with my soul."
In other news, a group of Ghanaian children has caused a great stir on social media as they were captured in a viral video praying with all their might for God to take away the coronavirus pandemic from the country.
The video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official twitter handle of Soul Concepts appears to have been taken on March 25, 2020, as part of the directive by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the country to pray.
It would be remembered that on March 21, the president called on all Christians and Muslims to observe a national day of prayer and fasting in the wake of the coronavirus spread in the country.
