The COVID-19 pathogens are reported by health experts to be able to stay on metallic surfaces for up to 12 hours before eventually dying off.

This simply implies that if there is an infected person among the several people holding the same surface, all of them could be exposed to the risk of contracting the disease.

It simply portrays the essence of lockdowns and isolation measures such as quarantining as people would not be able to come out and risk their lives in such a manner.
