According to Akufo-Addo, Accra, Kumasi, Kasoa, and Tema will be on lockdown for the next two weeks.
The President made this known on Friday evening, March 27, 2020, during his address to the nation on the COVID-19.
The latest measures will take effect from Monday, March 30, 2020.
Akufo-Addo made it clear that the lockdown was initiated to speed up the contract tracing of persons believed to be exposed to the deadly virus.
Meanwhile, the latest update by the Ghana Health Service has shown that the total number of patients who have recovered from the deadly coronavirus in Ghana has doubled, a 100% increase.
