COVID-19: Adebayor urges people to stay at home

International Football star Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor has joined the list of celebrities who are personally campaigning for people to remain indoors and stay safe as the world battles the coronavirus which has been marked as a global pandemic.

Adebayor in his latest post of social media called on Ghanaians and people around the world to stay home as nations battle the deadly coronavirus.

In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Adebayor said people need to stay home, take care, and stay healthy.

As of March 29, 2020, Ghanaian has recorded a total number of 152 COVID-19 cases with two recoveries and five deaths.

The President yesterday March 28, announced a lockdown in parts of Accra, Kumasi and Kasoa during his late evening national address on government’s measures to control the spread of the virus.

The lockdown is expected to take full flight on Monday, March 30, 2020.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Health Service Administrators around the country have urged to embark on a mass testing exercise of residents in the areas under partial lockdown in order to help fight the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus.

They are also pleading with the government to procure more test kits to help facilitate the mass testing exercise.

As of Friday, March 27, 2020, Ghana had recorded 137 confirmed cases with 4 deads and 2 recoveries.
