The former president, John Mahama Dramani, has donated one hundred sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other items to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge) in Accra.

Former President Mahama made the donation to the hospital on Sunday, March 29, 2020.
The items presented include 100 full sets of PPE, 100 gumboots, 120 scrubs for doctors, 50 gowns for patients, 30 gowns at the theatre, and 400 bottled water packs.
According to Mahama, the items were to help the medical staff at the hospital in the fight against the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
"Earlier today, I visited the Ridge Hospital in Accra where I presented one hundred sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other items to the medical staff at the facility for their fight and management of the Coronavirus pandemic," he captioned photos from the donation exercise.
The photos as sighted by YEN.com.gh show the NDC flagbearer was accompanied by party's national chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, COVID-19 technical team chairman, Prosper Bani, and MP for Klottey Korle, Dr Zanetor Agemang-Rawlings.

Meanwhile, President Nana Akufo-Addo has been hailed over his recent statement about COVID-19.
Akufo-Addo had urged people to stay home saying there is a way to revive a dead economy but there is no way to revive dead people.
The statement has got WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus and popular British journalist Piers Morgan praising him.
