Information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has donated her three months' salary to support her constituents in the fight against COVID-19.
Her actions come after President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia donated their 3 months salary for the establishment of the COVID-19 fund which is to help fight the pandemic.
According to her, the funds would be used to support the vulnerable and needy in her constituency.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia donated his three months salary to Ghana's COVID-19 Fund.
Bawumia indicated his salary for the next three months should be paid into the COVID-19 Fund to support it.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo on Friday, March 27, 2020, announced the establishment of a fund to receive contributions and donations to support the coronavirus victims.
He also stated that the COVID-19 Fund will be chaired by former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo.
