The Ghana Health Service has confirmed that another COVID-19 patient has recovered.
This brings the total number of people who have recovered from the disease to three in the country.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the Ghana Health Service confirmed 9 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number to 161 including 5 deaths.
All nine cases were confirmed in Accra on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
The latest Ghana Health Service update on COVID-19 cases in the country indicates that the third person who has recovered has been released to go free having tested negative after extra tests to confirm his recovery.
''Three (3) of the confirmed cases have fully recovered and reverted to negative status for COVID-19 after repeat tests following recovery from symptoms as at 31st March 2020.''
Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that 31 out of the previously 152 confirmed cases had recovered and discharged from the hospital.
Also, some parts of Accra, Kasoa, and Kumasi are observing a lockdown for two weeks which was imposed by President Akufo-Addo.
The measure is to stem the spread of the new coronavirus which has plagued Ghana and nearly all parts of the world.
In other news, as part of the measures to enforce the partial lockdown in parts of Accra, Kasoa, and Kumasi, personnel from the Ghana Armed Force and Police are in the streets to ensure that people comply with President Akufo-Addo's order.
President Nana Akufo-Addo imposed a partial lockdown to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
