Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah has donated several items to the market folks at the Texpo market at Spintex in Accra.
Some of the items include veronica buckets, wipes, detergents, wipes and bags of rice among others.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Jackie Appiah after the donation took advantage of the donation to sensitize the sellers at the market about the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus.

"As an Actress, I make it a point to always give back to society in one way or the other. The coronavirus outbreak (Covid-19) has taken the world by surprise and it’s almost like the entire world is upside down so a little act of kindness is expected of every citizen of the world. This took place a few days before the lockdown. #Donationforcoronavirus #market #Ghana #Ghanawestafrica #coronavirusoutbreak #covid19 #stayathome #staysafe,"
As part of the president’s initiative to stop the spread of the deadly coronavirus, Akufo-Addo gave a directive to the security agencies to lockdown some regions in the country.
To control activities and prevent further spread of the virus, security personnel were deployed into the restricted zones (Accra, Tema and Kumasi) to ensure compliance.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Founder and General Overseer of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), Reverend Obofour had donated some items to the Tema General Hospital to help them fight the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus.
Some of the items Rev. Obofour donated include; hand sanitiser, Veronica buckets, tissues, soaps, hospital beds and an amount of GHC 100,000 among other things.
