A video is fast trending on social media showing a well-built military man who pulled a gun to shoot a civilian who defied lockdown rules.

The footage was sighted by YEN.com.gh on the Twitter handle of John Terry Tresh who was clearly alarmed by the incident and mentioned that the ongoing squabble between Ghanaians and armed officers is simply going too far.

In the video, the military man wanted to clearly punish three young men who were out during the lockdown period, which got one of the guys very enraged.

Watch the video below:

One of the three men undergoing the punishment appeared tired as he did not perform the squats the military man instructed them to do very well.

This caused the officer to hit the man on his head and in turn, the young man lashed out at the officer by throwing a punch which landed on the soldier's face, making the military man very angry.

The angry officer immediately pulled his gun on the man who by that time, was trying to escape and they both went on a hot run.

It is only hoped that the officer did not actually shoot the young man.

This is not the first time that there has been a fierce battle between officers and civilians over the lockdown exercise.

Just recently, YEN.com.gh reported how a group of Ghanaians was captured in a video angrily confronting police officers who were in the area to enforce the lockdown exercise that is currently ongoing.

According to the footage sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official Instagram handle of Facts and Truths, the local residents were out to get prepaid credit.

They angrily narrated to the police officer who was sighted in the video that his colleague had just come to lash them without truly finding out why they were there and what they were out for.
