Kumawood actress and singer Maame Yaa Konadu Jackson has stirred debate on social media after disclosing the type of men she likes.

In two different posts on Saturday, April 11, 2020, Yaa Jackson indicated that she does not want to date a poor man and gave reasons.

First, she posted a screenshot from her Twitter account which's text read: "I will choose a rich guy instead of a poor guy as me why"

She later came with an explanation in a subsequent post saying: "Because you will struggle and go through a lot just to make it with the poor guy . And later when he gets money, he will not even remember you helped him to get to where he is now. I will advise you not to think a guy loves you when he is poor, you will know when he makes it "

The post from Yaa Jackson started a whole debate about relationships. While many people agreed with the actress/singer, there were others who thought she was wrong.

@mzjackies_fashion agreed with Yaa Jackson's opinion: "I second you say no to poor boyfriend

@fellyshiress claimed to be a living testimony of what Yaa Jackson was talking about: "Fact that’s what I’m going through now this is for me."

@ofori7454 had a funny analogy to make: "Dating a poor guy is like worshipping idol without providing you lotto numbers you will go bankrupt "

@poshme28 also agreed saying: "There’s no true love out there just beneficial reasoning."

But @lailatuqadr2003 disagree: "Not every poor guy forgets u when he becomes rich. If true love exists between the 2 then, there is no way he will forget you when he becomes rich. "

Meanwhile, Yaa Jackson recently showed off her boyfriend in a new photo on social media. The actress-turned-singer shared the photo in celebration of the young man's birthday.

The photo got Yaa Jackson's followers wishing the young well.
