Coronavirus: Sarkodie makes donation to people of Tema (Video)

Ghanaian Tema-based rapper Sarkodie has touched the hearts of the citizens of Tema and its environs with a massive donation.
In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Sarkodie’s team were captured offloading goods including bags of rice, tomato pastes, soap, bags of water, canned fish, and what have you to the people.
The people had thronged the venue where the items were being shared to grab their portion.

According to the narrator, the gesture is from the Highest rapper through his Sarkodie Foundation.
He said the target was people who lived in slums, mainly old women, the blind, and other physically challenged people.
Sarkodie, the narrator indicated, said he needed to put smiles on the faces of the people of Tema in this coronavirus times.
Many people hailed him in the video, and YEN.com.gh's eyes caught one elderly woman who pronounced blessings on Sarkodie.
The woman said in the Akan language: "Sarkodie, may God double this and return it to you in many folds. We thank you so very much."

Meanwhile, this is the first time Sarkodie has made such a donation.
He has often been described as a stingy man by fans as well as his own colleague musician Shatta Wale.
That is why some have argued that Sarkodie made this donation out of pressure and not from his heart.
In another news, Shatta Wale has also made huge donations to the prisoners freed by President Akufo-Addo following his earlier donations to farmers, market women, and many others.
