Wish of old woman to lie on mattress before she dies finally comes true (Video)

- Yaya Kwanjit, an old lady at Saanbona in the North East Region of Ghana had said her only wish is to lie on a mattress before she dies

- Her wish has finally come true as the old woman has been given 5 mattresses with money and other items

- She was filled with so much excitement stating that she now believes even a stone can germinate after her wish came true

An old visually impaired woman called Yaya Kwanjit at Saanbona in the North East Region of Ghana with the wish to lie on a mattress before she dies now rejoices as her wishes have come true.

JoyNews made the presentation of five mattresses and many other gifts in cash and kind as several people had come out to donate massively after the old woman's story was aired.

Yaya Kwanjit, was so overwhelmed when the items reached her, she wouldn’t stop blessing those who send her gifts. According to Yaya Kwanjit, she is currently convinced with the love shown her that even a stone can germinate.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that the old woman indicated that she got blind after she gave birth to her second child and she believes that if she had money to take care of herself, she would have still had her sight.

She also added that even though she did not know her age, she believed to be way younger than how she looked and attributed her looks also to a lack of money.

At her old age and in her condition, Yaya said she went some days without food. According to her, being poor simply means not having the ability to afford what one likes, and that was the state she was in.

Many Ghanaians were full of positive comments after hearing that the old woman's wishes had come true.

Kilimanjaro Benotti Akiti was very thankful to those who contributed to the generous gesture after the story was aired.

"Ghanaians are really generous, when it comes to being our brothers keepers," Afia Denmark said.

In other news, four new people have died from the outbreak of cerebrospinal meningitis in the Upper West Region of Ghana as the total number of deaths now hits a whopping 37 in the region alone.

According to a news report by CitiFM, the total number of people who are currently confirmed to have the medical condition nears 250 in the Upper West Region alone.

It would be recalled how YEN.com.gh reported days ago that more than 200 cases of cerebrospinal meningitis have been recorded in Ghana with 33 Ghanaians confirmed dead in the Upper West Region alone as country battles COVID-19.
