D'neil Schmall, 35, a nurse and former bodybuilder has broken down in tears after walking into her ward only to find patients dead as she battles coronavirus.

The emergency room nurse, moved to in New York to be on the frontline to help those at the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an emotional clip posted online, Schmall is seen in heavy tears while in her hotel room after a long shift delivering news to multiples families about the deaths of patients in her care.

The tearful nurse noted in the video that she is an ER ICU nurse currently in New York working a rapid response for COVID-19.

On April 10, 2020, she posted a video on social media in tears saying she had a very rough day at work. Schmall said that she walks in a room and there's a dead body there.

"I just feel there is so much anyone can take. I'm tired of walking into rooms, and your patients are dead," she said amid tears.

The emergency care nurse added that she was ''tired of calling families and telling them that news.''

While sobbing, Schmall said she feels so much sadness for her fellow nurses, sisters and brothers that have lost their lives taking care of people.

"If you have ever felt any time would be appropriate to have compassion for each other, right now is the time,'' Schmall added.

Meanwhile, worldometers.info reports that the United States has confirmed coronavirus cases of 577,332 with 23,077 deaths and 33,907 recoveries as of April 13, 2020.

In other news, the Ghana Health Service on Sunday, April 12 confirmed 158 new cases that were detected over the weekend.

The country has so far recorded eight deaths from the 566 cases. President Nana Akufo-Addo also announced an extension of the lockdown and ban on all public and social gatherings following the increased cases.

Also, so far, 10 out of 16 regions in Ghana have confirmed cases with the capital city, Accra, leading with 452 cases.
