COVID-19: Man runs from home despite lockdown to get away from wife and kids (video)
- A man from the UK was flagged down by the police after deciding to leave his house during lockdown period and cruise around town
- When the cops asked him why he was out of his house, the driver said he needed to escape his wife and kids for some peace of mind
- Tickled, the officers told the guy only essential journeys were allowed and his was not termed as one

A lot of men will do anything to get away from their wives for a few hours even during COVID-19 lockdown.
Policemen from United Kingdom dropped their jaws on the floor when a driver told them he needed to travel because he could not stay at home with his wife and kids.

Patiently, officers waited to hear him blurt out another reason why he saw it fit to walk out of his house ad take his car for a spin while everyone else was at home.
But, the covidiot only wanted to stay away from unnecessary nagging and chose to put his freedom at stake.

The BMW owner knew about lockdown restrictions which required all non-essential workers in the area to stay home.
But, according to him, it was hard to stay confined behind four walls with the mother of his children and their kids so he chose to sneak out and drive away.
Police spotted him cruising the empty road and decided to flag him only to learn the chap felt the need to break free from his family.
Completely shocked by the incidents, authorities went ahead to tweet that running away from wife and kids is not considered as an essential journey.
“Taking your BMW out for a spin on a 170-mile round trip to have a break from the wife and three kids is also not an essential journey,” the Alliance Roads Policing officers said.
They added quiet roads should have hinted no one was allowed to go for leisure rides while the state was grappling with rising COVID-19 infections.
“The roads are much quieter but there are still people who do not get it,” the officers added.
According to authorities, they had spotted another driver who traveled amidst the lockdown to fetch a second-hand boat.
