Celebrated singer Rihanna Fenty's father, Ronald, contracted coronavirus and her daughter was there to make sure he was fine.

The singer is reported to have bought a ventilator and shipped it to the Caribbean where the dad resides.

According to the sun, who held an interview with the dad in Barbados, Rihanna had been checking up on him daily, ever since he was confirmed to have contracted the virus.

Ronald thought he was going to die and was thankful to the daughter who had ensured everything was done right.

"My daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day, I thought I was going to die to be honest. I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn. She did so much for me. I appreciate everything she has done," Ronald told the sun.

He added the singer gave him more than he needed to get through the illness, which had taken a great toll on him.

Ronald spent 14 days in quarantine at an Isolation centre after which he was confirmed virus free.

He warned everyone to treat the disease with the seriousness it deserved, even taking steps to call the government and suggest a lockdown.

Rihanna and the dad had a rocky relationship due to his drug habits in the past but have always been there for each other and their love has shone through.

Recall that Legit.ng reported that Rihanna not only helped out her family but also the world in fighting with the pandemic.

Through her Clara Lionel Foundation, she donated $1 million which helped rapid response efforts in both the United States and across the world.

Poor countries such as Haiti and Malawi were to benefit from the funding through the acceleration of testing and offering care units.
