COVID-19: Akufo-Addo vitually cuts sod for isolation unit at Ga East Hospital

Like he usually says, we are not in normal times and desperate times call for desperate measures as well.

The president has for the first time in the history of the Ghanaian government virtually held sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a 100-bed treatment and isolation unit at the Ga East Hospital.

Sitting in his office and watching the live broadcast of the sod-cutting, President Akufo-Addo interacted with the people on the ground and addressed the gathering as well.

This initiative by the president has been lauded by many Ghanaians.

Nana Kwesi believes it is a good move.

In other news, the total number of recoveries in Ghana pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic also called the novel coronavirus has increased greatly to 99, stirring massive joy.

According to the official website of the Ghana Health Service, all the 99 recoveries have been recorded in the Routine Surveillance exercise that is being undertaken.

The number moved to 99 because 16 new people recovered from the novel coronavirus in addition to the 83 people who had previously healed from the disease.
