After what seemed to be an unending vetting session for President Akufo-Addo's nominee to occupy the position of a deputy health minister, Dr Okoe Boye was approved by a consensus in Parliament.

His approval was welcomed by both sides of the House as they wished him well and believed that he would put his expertise to play and do a good job.

To crown the decision of the president and the unanimous decision of Parliament, Dr Bernard Okoe Boye has been sworn in by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Parliament has approved the nomination of Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye for the position of a Deputy Minister of Health.

The approval followed the recommendation of the Appointments Committee of the House for his nomination to be approved by consensus after Dr Okoe Boye appeared before the committee on Wednesday.

The Chairman of the Appointments Committee and First Deputy Speaker, Joe Osei Owusu, read the report of the committee on the floor of Parliament.
