Massive joy as total COVID-19 recoveries in Ghana jumps to 99
- Ghana has recorded 16 new recoveries from the novel coronavirus in the country
- This means the total number of recoveries in Ghana has jumped to 99
- In all, the total number of cases confirmed in the country has also jumped to 834 as 193 new cases were recorded

The total number of recoveries in Ghana pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic also called the novel coronavirus has increased greatly to 99, stirring massive joy.
According to the official website of the Ghana Health Service, all the 99 recoveries have been recorded in the Routine Surveillance exercise that is being undertaken.
The number moved to 99 because 16 new people recovered from the novel coronavirus in addition to the 83 people who had previously healed from the disease.

In the latest update by the Ghana Health Service as at 3:30pm on April 18, 2020, the total number of COVID-19 cases also moved from 641 to 834, which means 193 new cases have also been recorded.
Also, the update indicates that one more person has died in the country although the details of the person have not yet been disclosed.
Sadly, it appears that three new people have also moved into critical condition as the number moved to four as well.
