Council Of State Chairperson lauds Akufo-Addo; says Ghana is lucky to have him

The Chairperson of the Council of State, Nana Otuo Sriboe II has stated that the country is blessed to have President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as its leader in these difficult times.

According to him, in these difficult times, "We are lucky, as a country, to have you as President at such a time as this," the Chairperson said.

He made this known when the Council held discussions with the President on the measures being taken by the government to combat the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

He, however, lauded the president for his earlier quote on how he is able to bring back the economy to life but not human beings

The Council of State Chairperson added that his regular addresses to the nation in these COVID-19 times was encouraging.

“Your regular broadcasts have really brought a lot of encouragement to the country,” he said.

In other news, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for the North Tongu in the Volta region, has said that President Nana Akufo-Addo chose politics over science over the lockdown issue related to COVID-19.

In a Facebook post the NDC MP made and sighted by YEN.com.gh, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa mentioned categorically that his statement is backed by emphasis from experts on the subject.

Although the honourable legislator did not disclose which expert, in particular, he was referring to, he sounded sure that the president's decision to lift the lockdown is proof that he chose politics over science.
