Sarkodie begs Akufo-Addo to open Ghana's borders following lift of lockdown

- Rapper Sarkodie wants Ghanaians stuck in other parts of the world to come back home

- In a Facebook post, Sarkodie begged President Akufo-Addo to open Ghana's borders for two days in order for citizens stuck in other countries to come home

Award-winning rapper Sarkodie has stated that he wants President Akufo-Addo to open the country's borders for at least two days for citizens stuck in other countries to be able to return home.

President Akufo-Addo, as part of measures to stop the spread of the deadly coronavirus, closed all borders to avoid people from other countries coming into the country.

But according to Sarkodie, it will be better for the president to open our borders for at least two days to get all Ghanaian citizens back into the country.

In a Facebook post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Sarkodie also commended the president for how well he and his government have handled the outbreak of the coronavirus.

"Mr president @NAkufoAddo you’ve done so well with how you handling this pandemic , we appreciate your effort. But please can we open the boarders for at least a day or two in between time for citizens stuck outside to get back pls," he posted on his Facebook.

As it stands almost every country in the world has closed its borders to avoid recording imported cases of the deadly coronavirus virus.

As such it is nearly impossible to get people in or out of any country.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Sarkodie had stated that he would pay any amount of money to get his fellow rapper Pappy Kojo back home to Ghana.

Pappy Kojo who is currently in Italy has been trying to find ways of leaving the country that has recorded extremely high cases of the deadly coronavirus.

But in a Twitter post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Sarkodie said though he is also locked up, he will give anything to get Pappy Kojo back home because he is not well.
