Ghanaian striker, Asamoah Gyan, has stated that he will go into fulltime coaching after he retires from active football.
Asamoah Gyan believes he has what it takes to be more successful in coaching.
Baby Jet has been very successful in his football career by winning several titles, and he is currently Ghana's highest goalscorer with 51 international goals.
In an interview with TV3, Gyan said: "Honestly I will try and get a license in coaching, because I have the IQ in coaching. I know how to coach. For me I can be a very good coach but I need to go through the processes," he said.
Gyan has played under different coaches in a career that has spanned almost two decades, but the ex-Sunderland forward learned more from former trainers Cosmin Olariou and Zlatko Dalic.
He added that he has learned a lot from several coaches in the various teams he has played for therefore he will definitely be a brilliant coach when he ventures into that field.
“I have to combine everything. Honestly I really like Cosmin Olariou, the coach who coached me at Al Ain. He is a Romanian, he’s not well known in Europe,” says the enigmatic forward. And then I learnt a lot from Zlatko (Dalic) the one who took Croatia to the final (at the World Cup 2018) He was my coach in Al Ain," he disclosed.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah had named Frank Amankwah, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Abedi Pele and himself among others in his all-time best Black Stars XI.
For the goalkeeper, he chose Richard Kingson and placed Frank Amankwah, Patrick Allotey, John Mensah and Samuel Osei Kuffour in defence.
