Actor and aspiring member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, John Dumelo has as part of measures to give relief to people in his constituency instituted some initiatives.

This initiative according to him, is to help the small scale businessmen and women in the Ayawaso West constituency.

He stated that as a farmer he knows what it is like to experience low income and as such he has decided to give GHc 200,000 emergency loans with zero interest rates to small businesses across his constituency.
He, however, stated that the modalities for accessing the scheme shall be communicated
Dumelo expressed the hope that the small token would revive the many businesses that have suffered as a result of the COVID-19.
His initiative has drawn a lot of comments from social media users.

In other news, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, John Dumelo says he is not in politics to fail or disappoint the electorates.
In an interview with Accra FM on Saturday, April 18, 2020, the actor noted that he was aware of concerns expressed by some critics, but was quick to add that he was in politics only to serve humanity and ensure everyone prospers.
Addressing an earlier concern raised by fellow showbiz personality, Samini that he [John] should not disappoint if elected into power as an MP, the NDC man said he cannot fail his people if given the nod.
