US-based musician, Jah Shanti has accused Ghanaian beatmaker MOG Beatz of reselling a beat he made for him to Stonebwoy.
The said beat was sold to Jah Shanti in 2017 to record a song titled ‘Fire’ and later resold to Stonebwoy for his 'Everlasting' song which is the fourth song on his newly-released ‘Anloga Junction’ album.
Checks by YEN.com.gh indicate that Jah Shanti released his 'Fire' song as part of a seven-song mixtape in 2017.
When Ghana Weekend interviewed Jah Shanti on the issue, which was monitored by YEN.com.gh, he said his management reached out to the beatmaker and bought the beat in question from him in 2017.
“My team did the payment. But I have to speak to my management and know who specifically they paid the money to,” Jah Shanti said.
However, MOG Beatz has vehemently denied the allegation saying he does not know the artiste in question and had no idea of such a transaction between him and Jah Shanti.
This is not the first time MOG Beatz has been accused of selling the same beat to different artistes.
A few months ago, a music group called ZeeTM was angry at MOG Beats for selling their beat to female songtress MzVee.
The beat was used by ZeeTM for their song titled ‘Promise’ and MzVee’s ‘Who Are You’?
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that that Rising Afrobeat star Kelvyn Boy had ignored the feud between him and award-winning dancehall act Stonebwoy to commend him for releasing his 'Anloga Junction' album.
The 'Anloga Junction' album features both local and international stars like Kojo Antwi, Nasty C, Keri Hilson, Alicai Harley, Zlantan, Jahmiel, Diamond Platnumz, and Chivv.
Kelvynboy hailed Stonebwoy for releasing 'Anloga Junction' album saying that the album is a big project while giving the 'Ololo' hitmaker thumbs up.
